US struggling with extreme climate change conditions
WASHINGTON – From north to south, the U.S. is struggling with extreme climate change conditions.
The northern U.S. is filled with unhealthy air caused by smoke from wildfires in nearby Canada.
Southern states like Arizona and Texas, on the other hand, are struggling with extreme heat.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures are rising steadily in California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas.
In some parts of California, the temperature reached a whopping 53.9 °C.
Las Vegas recorded over 47 °C, while residents of Arizona and Texas continue to struggle with temperatures around 40 °C.
Meanwhile, smoke from wildfires in Canada reached Washington state, northern California and Oregon, as well as parts of Michigan and Wyoming, worsening air quality.
