US drones flying over Gaza: Report
JERUSALEM (AA) – The US has been flying drones over the Gaza Strip in search of captives held by Hamas, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said on Friday.
The authority did not provide further details, but Israeli Channel 12 reported that the US Army has been flying unarmed MQ-9 Reaper drones in the skies of the Gaza Strip, as part of efforts to locate people held by Hamas since its October 7 attack.
According to the US, at least 10 of the Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip have American citizenship.
On Thursday, the Israeli army said that 242 Israelis have been held captive in Gaza since October 7.
