US dismisses Amnesty International’s Gaza genocide declaration against Israel
The U.S. has rejected Amnesty International’s report issued this week which accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.
State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said the U.S. views these allegations as unfounded, despite acknowledging the significance of NGOs in monitoring human rights.
Patel emphasized U.S. concerns about the impact of Israel’s war on Gaza’s civilians and called for a resolution to the conflict.
Meanwhile, Amnesty insists that Israel has committed and is continuing genocide, based on a thorough evaluation of actions and impacts in Gaza.
This statement comes as international bodies, including the International Criminal Court, have initiated actions against Israeli leaders for alleged war crimes.
