Universiti Brunei Darussalam honored for excellence in education
Wins prestigious Babson Collaborative Spotlight Award for its outstanding initiatives in entrepreneurship education
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei (MNTV) – Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) has been awarded the 2025 Babson Collaborative Spotlight Award, a prestigious recognition by Babson College, United States, for its outstanding initiatives in entrepreneurship education.
The award was presented during the Babson Collaborative Global Summit held at Ecole des Dirigeants et des Créateurs d’entreprise (EDC) Paris Business School, as reported by the Borneo Bulletin.
Dr. Masairol bin Haji Masri, UBD’s Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Industry Engagement and Enterprise Development, accepted the award on behalf of the university.
“This recognition reflects our continuous commitment to cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets on campus and beyond,” Dr. Masairol said.
He highlighted the university’s EntreMasterclass program, which is aligned with UBD’s Entrepreneurship Blueprint.
The blueprint aims to create a holistic entrepreneurial ecosystem encompassing students, researchers, educators, administrators, and leaders.
Themed “The Power of Global Entrepreneurship Education: Cultivating Innovation through Collaboration,” this year’s summit brought together 78 delegates from 48 higher education institutions across 31 countries.
UBD’s achievement underscores its dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship as a core aspect of higher education, further cementing its position on the global academic stage.
