United & Delta stop flights to Tel Aviv
United Airlines and Delta have paused flights to Israel’s capital Tel Aviv.
This is following heightened tensions in the region.
The move comes in response to escalating hostilities between Israel and Iranian-backed groups.
The situation intensified after the targeted assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas political bureau in Tehran, which many suspect was orchestrated by Israel.
United Airlines has canceled its Newark, New Jersey to Tel Aviv flights and is coordinating the evacuation of its crew from the city.
Delta also has suspended its services, which observers say reflects the broader concerns about safety in the area.
