Ukraine Wars Of New ‘Wall’ In Europe As Russian Strikes Continue
On Day 22 of Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a powerful virtual address Thursday to the German Parliament from the capital Kyiv.
He warned German lawmakers that Moscow is building a new Cold War wall across Europe “between freedom and bondage.”
Three weeks into the fighting, the toll of Russia’s attacks on civilian targets continues to grow.
It has fueled accusations of Russian war crimes in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said Russian shelling had killed 21 more civilians.
Russian forces also allegedly bombed a theater sheltering many civilians and marked with the word “children.”
Fighting broke out on the edge of Kyiv Thursday as Russian troops attempted to encircle the Ukrainian capital in their slow-moving offensive.
