UAE releases 15 Iranians from prison
ANKARA (AA): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) released 15 Iranians from prison on Thursday, according to media.
The prisoners were set free as part of an agreement reached during a recent visit by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to the UAE, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported.
No information was provided about the charges against the Iranian prisoners.
There was no comment from the Emirati authorities on the report.
Amir-Abdollahian met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his visit to the Gulf country on June 22.
Iran and the UAE have warmed up to each other in recent months after years of tension, with both countries reopening embassies and exchanging ambassadors.
