U.S.-Led Alliance Vows To Support Territorial Integrity, Peaceful Resolution Of Disputes
On Tuesday, Australia, India, Japan and the U.S. voiced “strong support” for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states and peaceful settlement of disputes.
The White House released a joint statement from the leaders of the U.S.-led Quadrilateral Security Dialogue alliance.
Conflict resolution can be achieved “without resorting to threat or use of force” or “any unilateral attempt to change the status quo,” they said.
The group vowed to make the Indo-Pacific region “more resilient for the 21st century.”
The four countries’ heads of state met Wednesday in Tokyo.
It was their second in-person summit, coinciding with Biden’s first Asia tour.
