U.S. controls military action in Ukraine, says Russia
Lavrov says, delivery of longer-range missiles by Western countries to Ukraine will not change ground situation
MOSCOW, Russia – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the U.S. is waging a war against Russia by supplying weapons.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), he said that the delivery of longer-range missiles by Western countries to Ukraine will not change the essence of what is happening on the ground.
He said Western countries were thinking to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia with their hands and bodies.
Earlier, the Pentagon announced $175 million in additional security assistance to Kiev.
The latest package includes, for the first time, depleted uranium munitions for Abrams tanks that have already been promised.
