Two Malaysian State Religious Agencies Appeal To Uphold Children’s Concervison
Two Malaysian state agencies are appealing in court to reinstate the Islamic conversion of three children.
In 2020, the Malaysian Shah Alam High Court ruled in a civil action by the children’s non-Muslim mother to invalidate the conversion of her three children.
That was initiated by their Muslim father, who had converted to Islam.
The Selangor Islamic Religious Council and the Selangor Muallaf Department are leading the appeal.
