Turkiye kills 4 PKK members in northern Syria
ANKARA (AA) – Turkish military killed four PKK members in northern Syria, the National Defense Ministry said on Monday.
Turkish fire support units targeted the “terrorists after they opened harassing fire” on the Operation Peace Spring zone, the ministry said on Twitter.
Since 2016, Turkiye has launched a trio of operations across its border in northern Syria: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019).
Turkiye alleges that PKK has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people over the last 35 years.
