Turkiye Kills 3 PKK Fighters in Northern Syria
ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye killed three PKK fighters near the country’s border in northern Syria, the National Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
Turkish forces targeted three PKK “terrorists” who attempted to attack the zone of Operation Euphrates Shield, an anti-terrorist military operation, the ministry said.
Since 2016, Turkiye has launched a trio of anti-terror operations across its border in northern Syria: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018) and Peace Spring (2019).
Turkiye blames the PKK for the deaths of over 40,000 people during the last 35 years.
