Turkish Minority Condemns Islamophobic Poster Placed Near Mosque In Northern Greece
Greece’s Turkish community on Tuesday condemned a provocative Islamophobic poster placed near a mosque in the northern part of the country.
According to media reports the poster read: “Islamization of Evros (region) should be stopped now.”
It was placed near the historic Chelebi Sultan Mehmed Mosque near the Turkish-Greek border.
The Friendship, Equality and Peace Party, popular with the Turkish minority community, said the incident is an indicator of existing fascist tendencies in Evros.
