Turkish forces kill 3 PKK members in northern Iraq
ANKARA (AA) – Turkish security forces killed three PKK members in northern Iraq, the National Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry said on Twitter that PKK members, spotted in the Operation Claw-Tiger zone, were killed with fire support vehicles.
Operations Claw-Tiger and Claw-Eagle began in border regions of northern Iraq in 2020 to ensure the safety of Turkish people and frontiers.
PKK members often hide out in northern Iraq to plot cross-border attacks in Turkiye, which alleges that PKK is responsible for deaths of at least 40,000 of its people in the last 35 years.
