Turkey will ‘do everything possible’ to hold Israel to account over Rafah strikes: Erdogan
Istanbul, Turkey – AFP
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that his country would do “everything possible” to hold “barbaric” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to account over deadly strikes in Rafah.
“We will do everything possible to hold these barbarians and murderers accountable who have nothing to do with humanity,” Erdogan said, after Israeli strikes on a camp for displaced Palestinians in Rafah killed 40 people.
Israel invaded Rafah where close to 1.5 million Palestinians from other parts of Gaza had sought refuge from its attacks in other parts of the Gaza Strip. Israel had declared it a safe zone.
