Trump questions if Kamala Harris is ‘Indian’ or ‘Black’
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has questioned whether Vice President Kamala Harris is “Indian” or “Black.”
At the National Association of Black Journalists conference, being held in Chicago through Sunday, Aug. 4, he was asked if he believes Harris is “only on the ticket” because she is a Black woman.
Trump replied that as he knows Harris, she has been only promoting Indian heritage.
He said that until a few years ago, he did not know she was Black.
“So. I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?” said Trump.
Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee in the presidential race.
Trump said he loves Blacks in the US and has done “so much” for the Black population.
