Tanzania’s football club shines African giants in latest world rankings
DAR ES SALAM, Tanzania (MNTV)- Tanzania’s football giants, the Young Africans, Yanga, have been ranked in the top ten on the African continent according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
They are also ranked 165th out of 500 football clubs in the world.
The team earned 121 points, making them one of the best in Africa. They have outshone South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Even veteran North African clubs like Egypt’s Al Masry And Algeria’s MC Alger have lost the race with Yanga.
The young footballers have brought pride to Tanzania, an emerging football playing nation in Africa. They have set the bar high for aspiring sportsmen in the country and beyond.
