Tajikistan unveils AI-powered credit bureau to transform financial sector
Move integrates artificial intelligence into credit scoring, enhancing financial inclusion, and establishing Tajikistan as a technology hub
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (MNTV) – Tajikistan has taken a significant step towards modernizing its financial sector with the launch of the country’s first artificial intelligence-powered credit bureau.
Developed by financial technology company zypl.ai, the platform is designed to revolutionize the way borrowers are assessed, making credit more accessible and improving risk management.
The unveiling took place on February 26 during an exclusive gala attended by key figures from the banking, technology, and innovation sectors.
During the event, developer zypl.ai signed a memorandum of cooperation with several leading financial institutions in Tajikistan.
This agreement will facilitate the integration of artificial intelligence-driven credit analysis into the financial sector, offering a more comprehensive and efficient system for evaluating creditworthiness.
Unlike traditional credit bureaus that rely solely on a borrower’s credit history, the system called AION uses artificial intelligence to analyze hundreds of data points, making it possible to assess individuals who may not have conventional financial records.
This technology considers transaction history, digital footprints, and asset ownership, creating a more accurate and inclusive credit assessment system.
The platform also incorporates biometric verification to enhance security and prevent fraud, ensuring a safer and more reliable process for both lenders and borrowers.
At the event, zypl.ai also introduced Lucid, an artificial intelligence-powered platform that enables businesses to develop and deploy artificial intelligence models without the need for advanced coding expertise.
Another innovation presented was zGAN, a technology that enhances data availability by generating synthetic data when real-world data is insufficient.
These solutions, combined with automated machine learning capabilities, allow businesses to tailor artificial intelligence applications to their specific needs without extensive development efforts.
A key announcement at the event was the launch of Area AI, Tajikistan’s first artificial intelligence technology park, which will be established in both Dushanbe and Khujand.
This hub will play a crucial role in developing the country’s artificial intelligence capabilities and will include an academy dedicated to training specialists in artificial intelligence, a research and development laboratory for testing algorithms and innovations, and a startup incubator to support emerging artificial intelligence-driven enterprises.
A major component of the technology park will be high-performance data centers, providing the necessary computing power to advance artificial intelligence research and development.
The establishment of a regional artificial intelligence center within the hub aims to foster collaboration between government institutions, businesses, and academic researchers, accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence both within Tajikistan and beyond.
With these initiatives, Tajikistan is positioning itself as a regional leader in artificial intelligence innovation, bringing cutting-edge technology to the financial sector and beyond.
By investing in advanced artificial intelligence-powered solutions, the country is setting the foundation for a more inclusive and technologically advanced financial ecosystem while also strengthening its position in the global artificial intelligence landscape.
