Tajikistan hosts ICT WEEK-2025 to boost digital development
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan — Tajikistan opened its annual ICT WEEK-2025 on Monday, bringing together government officials, international partners, private companies, and young innovators for one of the country’s largest technology gatherings. The four-day event, held from April 7 to 10 in the capital Dushanbe, aims to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen cooperation in the IT sector, and enhance digital skills across society.
The event coincides with the official opening of a new IT Park developed by the LLC “Park of Software Products and Information Technologies” — a key initiative to support local tech startups and boost innovation infrastructure in Tajikistan.
According to Asia Plus, ICT WEEK-2025 will host a series of exhibitions, forums, and competitions focused on fintech, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and youth engagement. Organizers expect the event to serve as a vital platform for experience-sharing, networking, and building partnerships within Tajikistan’s growing tech ecosystem.
The event is organized in partnership with several national and international bodies, including the Innovation and Digital Technology Agency under the President of Tajikistan, TechnoHub Dushanbe, Accelerate Prosperity, the Artificial Intelligence Council, and associations representing banks, financial institutions, and the e-commerce sector.
The program began on April 7 with EXPO IT Day, showcasing IT platforms, fintech solutions, and digital technologies. April 8 focuses on startup support and artificial intelligence, featuring discussions on AI initiatives and presentations from Accelerate Prosperity. The day also includes a youth ICT forum and a competition for IT teachers.
April 9 is dedicated to digital skills and e-commerce, with training sessions, school-level science and robotics contests, and workshops on AI, programming, and digital trade. Events are being held across multiple venues, including the new IT Park and TechnoHub Dushanbe.
The final day, April 10, will feature a roundtable with development partners, bringing together members of the Donors’ Council to discuss digital priorities and cooperation. The week will conclude with a closing ceremony highlighting outcomes and future plans.
Tajikistan’s government sees digitalization as a strategic pillar of its long-term development goals. ICT WEEK-2025 is expected to play a key role in fostering innovation, increasing digital literacy, and integrating local talent into global tech trends. The event remains open to all members of the public.
