Halal tourism expands beyond cities with unique nature-focused experience in Nantou
NANTOU, Taiwan (MNTV) – Nantou, Taiwan’s second-largest city, is introducing a halal-friendly eco-tour aimed at attracting more Muslim travelers, reports International Community Radio Taipei (ICRT).
The tour will feature a mix of cultural and ecological experiences, including a designated forest worship space and halal food options.
Visitors will explore the stunning Sun Moon Lake, the village of Laidazuan, and other scenic locations, while learning about the Bunun people’s traditional lifestyle and their harmonious relationship with nature.
Officials highlight that halal tourism in Taiwan has primarily been focused in urban areas, making this initiative a unique opportunity for Muslim travelers to connect with nature and enjoy a culturally rich experience.
