Switzerland investigates suspected Israeli war criminal
Switzerland has opened an investigation into suspected Israeli war criminal following a complaint by Hind Rajab Foundation
BERN, Switzerland (MNTV) — Switzerland has opened an investigation into a suspected Israeli war criminal believed to be in the country.
This important step comes after the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) filed a criminal complaint in Switzerland.
The complaint contains detailed evidence linking the individual to war crimes and crimes against humanity, such as attacks on civilians, destruction of infrastructure and forced displacement in Gaza.
This investigation is part of a broader international push for accountability over Israeli actions in Gaza, with the International Criminal Court (ICC) recently issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The HRF emphasizes that the accountability process should not end with high-ranking officials but extend to those directly involved in carrying out these crimes on the ground.
The foundation praised Switzerland’s commitment to international law, signaling that war criminals will not be allowed to seek refuge within its borders.
While further details are withheld to protect the ongoing investigation, the HRF remains actively engaged in ensuring that all perpetrators of war crimes in Gaza are held accountable.
The Swiss government has not issued an official statement on the matter.
