Shake-up in Mark Robinson’s campaign team due to CNN report
Key aides in North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s gubernatorial campaign have resigned.
They include his campaign manager, senior advisor and finance director.
This is following a CNN report about comments the Republican leader made more than a decade ago on a pornography site.
The scandal has drawn criticism from his Democratic opponent, Attorney General Josh Stein, who said Robinson’s rise is linked to Donald Trump’s backing.
Stein is calling for accountability of those who have supported Robinson.
