Saudi Arabia’s charity drive raises over $270M in week
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) – A nationwide charitable campaign in Saudi Arabia has amassed more than $270 million within just one week, reflecting a strong culture of giving during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The National Campaign for Charitable Work, now in its fifth edition, is facilitated by the “Ehsan” platform, which allows individuals, companies, and institutions to contribute to a range of philanthropic causes across the Kingdom.
The Saudi Press Agency reported the fundraising milestone, underscoring the campaign’s growing impact.
The Ehsan platform, operated under strict governance and transparency standards, ensures that donations reach beneficiaries efficiently and securely.
Contributions are made through its mobile app, website, Donor Service Center, and designated bank accounts.
“This achievement reflects the values of unity, solidarity, and compassion that define our society, especially during Ramadan,” a campaign spokesperson said.
“The Ehsan platform remains a trusted and transparent channel for charitable giving, allowing donors to make a meaningful impact.”
Saudi Arabia’s growing culture of philanthropy is evident in the widespread support for the campaign, which aims to strengthen social solidarity and provide aid to those in need.
With donations continuing to pour in, the initiative is set to make a lasting difference across communities.
