Saudi Arabia executes 2 Bahraini men on ‘terrorism’ charges
ISTANBUL (AA): Saudi Arabia said Monday that it had executed two Bahraini men on charges of “plotting terrorist acts.”
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said the two had been convicted “of joining a terrorist cell and plotting acts that target the security of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.”
The ministry said the cell was led by a man wanted by Bahraini authorities.
It said the cell received training in camps affiliated with terrorist organizations “to destabilize the security of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain…and to communicate with ‘terrorists’ inside Saudi Arabia to carry out ‘terrorist’ acts.”
There was no comment from the Bahraini authorities on the report.
