Russia Held Nuclear Drills Amid Tension Over Ukraine On Saturday
Russia successfully test-launched hypersonic and cruise missiles, as well as nuclear submarines at sea and land-based targets during exercises on Saturday, the Kremlin said
This comes amid tensions over the country’s possible invasion of Ukraine according to American government sources.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Russian forces were beginning to “uncoil and move closer” to the Ukraine border.
Although Austin said an invasion was not inevitable, he also noted that the nuclear exercises were raising the world’s concerns.
