Roadside bomb blast kills 2 in Somali capital
MOGADISHU, Somalia (AA) – At least two people were killed and three others wounded when a roadside bomb targeted security personnel in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Wednesday, police said.
Salaad Ahmed, a police officer in Mogadishu, told Anadolu Agency that a soldier and a civilian were killed when a landmine explosion hit a military vehicle carrying security personnel in the Daynile district.
The wounded, including two civilians, were taken to a hospital in Mogadishu, he added.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group al-Shabaab claimed recent attacks in the Horn of Africa country.
