Putin Encourages ‘Volunteer Fighters From Middle East’ To Come To Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday offered to help fighters from the Middle East, “who want to support” the rebel regions of Donbas to come to Ukraine.
Putin explained his decision at a meeting of the Russian Security Council in Moscow.
He added, Ukraine’s Western sponsors and its government “do not hide hiring mercenaries, they do it openly, ignoring all norms of international law.”
He pledged support for people who want to come on a voluntary basis, not for money, to support people living in Donbas.
Shia mercenaries have been fighting in Syria.
ISIS has also relied heavily on foriegn fighters.
