Philippine airlines offers special service to Muslims during Ramadan
AirAsia Philippines enhances connectivity for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, offering seamless transit and Halal-certified services
MANILA, Philippines (MNTV) — In a move to better serve the estimated 15 million Muslims in the Philippines, AirAsia Philippines is expanding its offerings to provide a more convenient and inclusive travel experience, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to AirAsia Philippines, passengers planning religious pilgrimages such as Hajj and Umrah can access the airline’s extensive network of 136 routes.
From Manila, travelers can connect to AirAsia’s major hub in Kuala Lumpur and take a direct flight to Jeddah, the primary gateway to Makkah, with a non-stop flight duration of approximately nine hours.
To further cater to Muslim travelers, AirAsia offers services through Ikhlas, a dedicated platform providing seamless access to faith-based travel services.
These include Umrah and Hajj travel arrangements, Shariah-compliant lifestyle options, and Muslim-friendly travel packages.
“As an airline that values diversity and inclusivity, we aim to support meaningful journeys such as pilgrimages. Our fly-thru option allows smooth transit without baggage collection hassles, and we also provide a variety of Halal-certified in-flight meal options tailored to Muslim travelers’ dietary needs,” said First Officer Steve Dailisan, Communications and Public Affairs Head of AirAsia Philippines.
AirAsia’s initiative reflects its commitment to enhancing travel accessibility for Muslim passengers while ensuring comfort and convenience throughout their spiritual journey.
