Palestinians returning to northern Gaza living in tents
Palestinians returning to the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City have encountered widespread destruction and rubble caused by Israel’s genocide in the region.
Following the so-called ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, Gaza residents are being allowed to return to their homes.
They continue to struggle for survival in tents set up near their demolished houses.
In addition to lack of shelter, they also are facing hygiene issues due to lack of clean drinking water and electricity, as well as the destruction of the wastewater drainage system in Israeli attacks.
The large-scale infrastructure destruction has deepened the humanitarian crisis, yet Palestinians persist in returning to their land despite these hardships.
