Palestinians facing ‘existential threat’: foreign minister

Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki said at the UN Security Council on Wednesday that the Palestinian people “are faced with an existential threat”.
“We are owed respect to our inherent dignity… Israel has no right to self-defense against a people that it occupies,” he said.
