Palestinian Woman Demands Trial Of Israeli Soldiers For Sexually Assaulting Her
A Palestinian woman is calling for the trial of six Israeli officers who she alleges sexually assaulted her in 2015, Arab48 reports.
An investigation into the conduct of three workers with Israel’s internal security agency Shin Bet, as well as three army officers was closed about 10 months ago.
Authorities cited a lack of evidence, despite some officers admitting to the allegations under questioning.
Shin Bet said the woman’s identity has been withheld due to security concerns.
A Shin Bet commander ordered two female soldiers to conduct a body search.
The soldiers removed the Palestinian woman’s clothes and probed her private parts.
Later, the woman was sentenced to two years in prison after being convicted of minor offenses.
