Palestinian toddler killed by Israeli forces laid to rest
RAMALLAH, Palestine – A two-year-old Palestinian toddler was buried Tuesday in the occupied West Bank.
The child died of a gunshot wound to the head after the Israeli army fired shots near his home in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
The child Mohammad Haitham Tamimi and his father were on their way to visit relatives.
The child’s father accused Israeli forces of opening fire directly at his car.
According to the Palestinian Office of Defense for Children International (DCIP), al-Tamimi was one of 27 Palestinian minors killed by Israeli activity in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip since January.
Tensions in the occupied West Bank have escalated in recent months due to repeated Israeli attacks on Palestinian towns.
According to Palestinian figures, more than 155 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the beginning of this year.
At least 21 Israelis were killed in separate attacks during the same period.
