Palestinian teen details horror of Israeli prisons
Palestinian detainee Reda Obaid has revealed shocking details about Israeli prisons after his release.
The 18-year-old was among 110 Palestinian prisoners freed in a prisoner swap.
He was arrested on August 21 and spent months in both juvenile and adult prisons.
Obaid described severe beatings, malnutrition, and inhumane treatment.
He contracted scabies but was denied medical care.
Even after a judge ordered treatment, prison authorities ignored it.
At Megiddo Prison, he spent ten nights without a blanket.
Guards beat him for not responding fast enough.
His father, Mohammed, rushed him to the hospital after seeing his condition.
Israeli intelligence also banned public celebrations for his release.
Obaid was supposed to serve five years and was shocked to be freed.
His brother, Dia, 19, is still in prison.
Obaid says Israeli prisons are designed to break Palestinians, not to serve justice.
