Palestinian man dies from wounds sustained by Israeli fire in West Bank
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian man succumbed to wounds sustained by Israeli army gunfire last month in the Tulkarem refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Awad Tayeh Muhammad Anbar, 47, had been critically injured by Israeli forces during a raid on the Tulkarem camp on November 14.
His body was handed over to his family by authorities at a hospital in Nablus where he was receiving treatment.
Anbar’s death pushed the death toll in the West Bank since Israel’s deadly war on Gaza began on October 7 to 266.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid the ongoing Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip which has left over 16,000 dead in the battered, besieged territory.
