Palestinian killed in Israeli military raid in occupied West Bank
TULKARM, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire during a military raid in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm on Thursday, according to local medics.
A 27-year-old was shot in the chest when Israeli forces raided the Nur Shams refugee camp in the city in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement.
Thursday’s fatality came one day after five Palestinians were killed by Israeli army fire in the same refugee camp.
According to witnesses, Israeli military bulldozers destroyed several shops, vehicles and roads in the camp.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on Oct 7.
At least 360 Palestinians have since been killed and nearly 4,000 others injured in the occupied territory, according to figures released by the Health Ministry.
