Palestinian group says 5 members killed in Israeli attack in Lebanon
BEIRUT, Lebanon (AA): A Palestinian group based in Lebanon said Wednesday that five of its members were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
In a statement, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) said the airstrike targeted a position of its military headquarters in Beqaa Valley near the Syrian border late Tuesday.
It said 10 other members were injured in the attack.
Israel, however, denied any role in the attack, according to Israeli public broadcaster KAN.
The PFLP-GC is a Palestinian group founded in 1968 by Ahmed Jibril, which split from the PFLP. The group has headquarters in both Lebanon and Syria.
