Pakistan’s former Premier Imran Khan injured in firing during long march
ISLAMABAD (AA) – Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in firing during his long march in the Wazirabad area of southeastern Punjab province on Thursday.
According to local media, unidentified assailants opened fire on Khan‘s vehicle near the Allah Ho Chowk in Wazirabad.
“Imran Khan got a minor injury as a bullet hit his leg. He is taken to hospital,” ARY News quoted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry as saying.
PTI Senator Faisal Javed and several other participants of the rally have also been injured in the firing, according to local media reports.
Another local PTI leader Azhar Mashwani said Khan is safe and the shooter has been arrested.
