Pakistan’s annual inflation at 25.9% in July
ISTANBUL (AA) – The annual inflation rate in Pakistan was at 24.9% in July, according to official figures released on Monday.
The rate was at the highest level for 14 years. The rate was 21.3% in June and 8.4% in July 2021.
On a monthly basis, prices increased by 4.3% in July 2022.
Prices have skyrocketed in Pakistan because of worldwide fuel and food inflation. The misery of the people has been compounded by the sharp decline in the value of rupee.
