OFF-DUTY NYPD COP SUSPENDED AND CHARGED FOR ATTACKING A DRIVER WHILE HURLING ISLAMOPHOBIC INSULTS
An off-duty New York City cop spewed racist insults and assaulted a driver in an incident recorded by the officer, police said.
The officer later handed footage of the incident over to authorities, sources told The New York Post.
At about 8 p.m. Sunday, motorist Abdul Motalab tried to make a U-turn in his car on Church Avenue near Ocean Parkway in Kensington, sources said.
NYPD Officer Riggs Kwong allegedly blocked the 32-year-old driver from turning.
Motalab got out of his car to take pictures, sources said.
Kwong then got out of his car, knocked Motalab to the ground, and started hitting him, yelling “Terrorist,” “Al-Qaeda” “Mohammed” and “ISIS,” sources said.
