NORTH KOREA’S HYPERSONIC MISSILE TEST SUSPENDS FLIGHTS ON THE US AIRPORTS
Aviation regulators briefly halted flights from U.S. airports on the West Coast as a precaution Monday, after North Korea launched a high-speed missile test.
The ground stop paused departures from an unspecified number of airports for less than 15 minutes.
North Korea’s hypersonic missile flew at nearly 10 times the speed of sound into waters off its eastern coast.
The move ratcheted up tensions in the region and with the U.S.
This is the third reported North Korean test of a hypersonic gliding missiles.
The country tested missiles last week and in September.
