New Jersey principal under fire for intimidating Muslim students
A New Jersey high school assistant principal is under investigation for intimidating members of the Muslim Students’ Association (MSA).
Edison High School’s Nicole Himmelstein has been accused of threatening MSA members for seeking to organize a Ramadan celebration with nearby schools.
The Edison Board of Education is investigating the claim.
The Council on American Islamic Relations says the MSA had invited students from local schools and that it had held similar joint events in the past.
CAIR says Himmelstein’s actions were intimidating and that she questioned the students’ character.
