Muslims Fleeing Islamophobia In France And Settling In Turkey, Gulf Countries, Canada
Turkey has become an attractive destination for Muslims fleeing France due to Islamophobia.
That’s according to a report by French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche on Wednesday.
Many young French Muslims are also settling in Gulf countries or applying for Canadian citizenship.
French authorities have long been accused of discriminating against France’s Muslim community.
In 2021, 92 mosques and civil society organizations were closed down according to the French government.
In addition, French President Emmanuel Macron has introduced a set of principles that would define the Islam of France.
