Muslim World League’s Supreme Council begins 45th Session
The Supreme Council of the Muslim World League kicked off its 45th session Monday to discuss a number of topics.
His Eminence Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, opened the event with a keynote speech.
He emphasized the bond of faith that unites Muslims regardless of their differences of color, race, tribe and language, diversity of customs, cultures and countries.
He noted the hallowed place of the kingdom in the Islamic world as the birthplace of revelation and the starting point for the final message of God.
The Two Holy Mosques act as the convergence point for the hearts and prayers of Muslims, he said.
The Supreme Council’s goals include achieving unity among Muslims, protecting Muslims from extremist ideology, and spreading moderate thought and peace.
