Muslim lawyer named Enquirer’s Woman of the Year for 2023
Allouch has been recognized by several organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Lawyers Guild
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Roula Allouch, a Muslim lawyer and civil rights advocate, has been named the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Woman of the Year for 2023.
The Cincinnati Enquirer is a daily newspaper published in the state of Ohio.
Allouch is a lawyer at the Bricker Graydon law firm and has held leadership positions at several national advocacy organizations.
Allouch is also a member of the faculty of the Islamic Seminary of America.
“Her passion for protecting civil rights, especially for Muslim Americans, led to positions with national advocacy organizations, including chair of the American Bar Association’s Center for Human Rights and former chair of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ national board,” the paper wrote.
Her law degree makes her passionate about protecting the civil rights of all people, especially Muslim Americans.
She has been recognized for her work by several organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Lawyers Guild.
In her acceptance speech, Allouch said she was honored to be named Woman of the Year and that she will continue to fight for the rights of all people.
