Muslim man killed outside Philadelphia Mosque
A 43-year-old man was shot and killed execution-style outside a Philadelphia mosque on Tuesday.
Raheem Jefferson was gunned down about 5 p.m. while walking to a prayer service.
Witnesses say they saw Jefferson being targeted by the shooter, who fired 17 shots.
He was rushed to the hospital but later died of his injuries.
The suspect was seen fleeing in a dark-colored sedan, and remains at large.
Jefferson frequently visited The Al-Aqsa Islamic Society, which is mourning the loss.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has expressed his condolences and said he hopes for peace for the community as the investigation into the murder continues.
