Muslim group in India to groom leaders
NEW DELHI, India (MNTV) — A Muslim organization in India has launched a nationwide initiative to identify and support young Muslim leaders driving change in the country.
The All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC) has introduced the 40 Under 40 Leadership Program, aimed at recognizing individuals under 40 making significant contributions in areas of social justice, business, technology, environment, and community development.
The initiative is designed not only to highlight emerging changemakers but also to equip them with resources to expand their impact.
AIMDC General Secretary Mohammed Imthiyaz says their broader vision is to build a network of future leaders. “We are excited to celebrate these young leaders who are breaking barriers and driving positive change. Their work is essential for fostering innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development,” The Observer Post quoted him as saying.
Those selected will receive mentorship from senior leaders, networking opportunities, and media visibility to amplify their work.
The program is open to Muslim leaders under 40 actively contributing to India’s social and economic landscape.
Imthiyaz emphasized that young leaders from marginalized communities, especially Muslims, often face systemic challenges in gaining visibility. “By investing in these leaders today, we are investing in the future of our community and the country. From tackling poverty and inequality to advancing education and sustainability, their contributions are crucial for shaping a better tomorrow,” he added.
