Musk Declares Himself Chief Twit, Firing Executives at Twitter
Tesla CEO Elon Musk completed his $44 billion purchase of Twitter on Thursday.
The richest man on the planet is now in control of one of the world’s most widely used social media and communication platforms.
Musk swiftly fired several top executives including CEO Parag Agrawal.
“The bird is freed,” Musk tweeted late Thursday.
A self-described free speech absolutist who claimed to have voted for former President Donald Trump, Musk may reverse the Twitter ban on Trump.
Washington Post reports that racist tweets quickly surfaced after Musk closed the Twitter deal.
