Morocco Botola Pro ranked fifth most valuable Arab football league
Moroccan league showcases strong potential with strategic focus on talent and infrastructure development
RABAT, Morocco (MNTV) – Morocco’s Botola Pro has been ranked as the fifth most valuable football league in the Arab world, with a total market value of approximately $127 million.
While trailing the region’s top four leagues, Botola Pro outperforms several other Arab leagues, highlighting its growing influence and competitive potential, according to football analytics platform Transfermarkt.
The Saudi Pro League leads the rankings with a staggering market value of over $1.04 billion, followed by the UAE Pro League ($385 million), Qatar Stars League ($365 million), and the Egyptian Premier League ($158 million).
Botola Pro’s fifth-place ranking places it ahead of leagues in Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Oman, and Lebanon.
A league’s market value is shaped by factors such as player quality, competitive balance, foreign investments, and broadcasting rights.
Botola Pro’s steady progress signals room for growth, particularly with Morocco’s preparations to host the Africa Cup of Nations.
The event is expected to enhance stadiums and facilities, attracting further investment and boosting the league’s overall appeal.
Widely recognized as one of Africa’s strongest leagues, Botola Pro is poised to climb higher in the rankings through strategic investments in talent development, club competitiveness, and infrastructure.
This achievement underscores Morocco’s commitment to advancing its football landscape and leveraging its position as a regional and continental football powerhouse.
