Minnesota entrepreneurs design modest medical scrubs for Muslim health workers
Two health care professionals turned entrepreneurs in Minnesota are making waves with their modest medical scrubs for Muslim employees in the industry.
Samatar and Firaoli Adam launched their company Mawadda LLC in November 2022.
It provides disposable hijabs for medical staff, allowing Muslim health care providers to maintain their faith-based requirements of modesty while ensuring patient safety.
Positive feedback has led to requests for their products from around the world, including India and France.
The founders are now developing a line of modest scrub skirts made from a durable, antibacterial fabric.
Observers say the company’s success highlights the importance of inclusivity in the medical field, as well as catering to the needs of Muslim professionals while revolutionizing medical attire.
