Mike Tyson takes offense at disrespect to Pope during show TV
Tyson who converted to Islam believes that Pope should be respected, regardless of people’s personal religious beliefs
WASHINGTON – Former boxer Mike Tyson, who converted to Islam in the 1990s, is berating his co-host DJ Whoo Kid for insulting the Pope.
In an interview, he said he is Muslim but respects all religions.
In the last episode of Mike’s podcast “Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson,” Mike invited Andrew Huberman, a professor and researcher of neuroscience.
Co-host Whoo Kid asked him about the Pope, which Mike found disrespectful.
He commented that the Vatican and the Church oppose science and control people.
Tyson intervened and said that he did not respect the Pope.
Whoo Kid was caught off guard and said that he did not know that. Tyson then released the tension and said the Pope was a good man.
Tyson converted to Islam in a lengthy process and is now a devout Muslim.
He believes that the Pope should be respected, regardless of people’s personal religious beliefs.
Tyson was born a Catholic but decided to change faith following the example of his mentor Muhammad Ali.
